WEEK 4 Three more Competitors died this past week. Chitoge Kirisaki tried to take matters into her own hands only to be punished as a result while William Flemming and Archie both tried to take the Adjudicator up on his word and escape. Three more of you are gone, but there's no going back now. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, another set of doors has opened up - this time at the end of the western corridor, leading up and toward the north. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it a reward for surviving another week. COMPETITORS REMAINING: 23

[The case of the murders in Inaba is over. The culprit has been captured, months have passed, and Yu Narukami just left Inaba. While Naoto feels rather satisfied that the killer was caught, Yu leaving Inaba has left her a tad melancholic. Well, there are also a couple other matters that got her attention, because it's even more unbelievable than everything that had happened back at home.

That's why she's in the garden, just...wandering around. It seems she's deep in thought, talking to herself. If you get close to her, maybe you'll catch a word or two!]

...I can't believe my friends and I fought a goddess and won...

[At least this is a more or less harmless way to butt into her business. Good for you, Terumi!]

Did you kill her? [ The one she was referencing before.]

[Naoto looks at nearby leaves as if those were the most interesting thing ever]

We did. She vanished away, screaming, despite taking her defeat rather well. It was rather strange...

They don't like being told or shown that they're useless trash.

...she did act condescendingly towards my friends and I. Izanami...that was her name...caused a lot of trouble, supposedly to know what humanity desired. We barely managed to overturn her plans, and that's only because we realized there was something wrong about all we knew.

[hentopan]

[ As soon as Naoto mentions that name, Terumi bursts out laughing.]

Oh, oh did her plan involve killing everyone too? Or was it "purging all of humanity to rest it to a clean slate"?

Something similar to that. She believed we "wanted a world where we didn't have to see the truths", or something like that... [To be frank, she never understood that well Izanami's motives] ...and to achieve it everyone in the world would be turned into something more akin to beasts than to humans.

[That's a simple way to describe Shadows, she guesses. Going into much detail seems pointless]

It sounds to me like you know an Izanami too, Terumi-san.

[Well that's a sentence to pay attention to.]

If its any comfort, I killed a giant talking kidney stone.

So things are pretty crazy everywhere.

[Naoto turns around, greatly confused]

...should I ask for more details as to how that happened?

She was very mad and I killed her in self-defense.

[Shrug.] How about yours?

...I guess protecting humanity from being turned into mindless beings counts as 'self-defense'.

[It must, right? Besides, she isn't sure the goddess died]

Definitely counts as self-defense. [Dang girl.] That's some "saving the world" kind of business there.

['Saving the world'. Heh, it really was that, eh? Naoto can't stop herself from smiling]

It sounds so fantastical I almost can't believe it happened in my dream.

I think we're learning that anything's possible these days.

It... sure seems like I did. Last night, I remember fighting some kind of crazy powerful dragon that was trying to destroy the world, I think.

...I think I'm almost more confused about this than you are, because I have pretty much no idea.

[fortunatedetective]

[Huh. Well...that's intriguing. Naoto shrugs after a moment]

You survived, that's what's important.

[andneversaydie]

Yeah, I guess so. It sounded like everything had gotten a little better than everyone, actually, because it seemed like the royals of Nohr and Hoshido were standing together against the dragon, too.

[When you say something like that, AZ simply can't help but speak his own mind in that uttering tone, a hint of ire in his voice as he felt the petals of a yellow flower.]

"Goddess"... "God"... These words are subjective.
