Week 4.

WEEK 4 Three more Competitors died this past week. Chitoge Kirisaki tried to take matters into her own hands only to be punished as a result while William Flemming and Archie both tried to take the Adjudicator up on his word and escape. Three more of you are gone, but there's no going back now. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, another set of doors has opened up - this time at the end of the western corridor, leading up and toward the north. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it a reward for surviving another week. COMPETITORS REMAINING: 23

Late at night

[greenmamabear]

[Fern is a mess of a person and also finds herself moving about at night. Just going to grab a book, work on her notes, stuff like that. She doesn't spot Isaac, flipping through her pages in confusion.]

[glaciates]

[At least you're not the only mess, right?? Right!!

Anyway, Isaac approaches and watches for a moment before speaking up.]

Looking for something specific?

[greenmamabear]

[She jolts back in surprise.]

OH CRIMINY. [Oh its just Isaac BUT STILL] Phew... You startled me.

[glaciates]

Oh, uh, sorry.

[HE DIDN'T MEAN TO whoops gotta look out for that]

Are you alright?

[greenmamabear]

Y-Yeah, I'm alright. Just lost in thought was all.

Plus, you know. Night. Murdergame. Paranoia and all that. [Whatever right broski.]

[glaciates]

Yeah, that's definitely understandable. But uh, why are you out of your room this late?

[greenmamabear]

I was gonna grab a new book from the library. You know, something to help me drift off to sleep.

How about you? You having sleep troubles too?

[glaciates]

Good luck. I've already tried that and it didn't work for me. I've always had trouble sleeping, but it's gotten a lot worse lately.

[greenmamabear]

I know what you mean. Seems like every time we try to relax and get settled...

[Juri has another surprise for them.]

[glaciates]

Something else happens, yeah. And that's how it's going to be until we can find a way out of here.

[It sucks.]

[greenmamabear]

...Think we still can?

[glaciates]

If you start thinking there's no way out...

[He pauses, then decides not to finish that.]

There has to be. Remember what Mallick said? Maybe one of these doors will open up to the exit at some point.

[greenmamabear]

God... Is that really the only way? More death?

[She feels like she shouldn't have said that. Like it crossed some unspoken line. But man, fuck this place.]

[glaciates]

I don't know. I want there to be some other way, but so far we've found nothing. I don't want anyone else here to die, but unfortunately we've got everything stacked against us. Every week he's giving us even more reasons to kill.

"Wait it out" seems like the worst thing we could possibly do, but I think that's all we can do right now.

[It's either that or kill Juri, and Isaac's already promised Kyouko that he won't do anything that will put anyone in danger.]

[greenmamabear]

[She feels like dragging her face off.]

I know we have to be patient and try for the best but... I just feel so hopeless sometimes. You know?

[glaciates]

I know. Believe me, I know.

[He shakes his head and he's sort of smiling but it's a very bitter, angry expression.]

I thought I had it bad in Ishval. At least there were other options there.

[It definitely wasn't anything like this.]

[greenmamabear]

The grass is always greener. I guess.

[glaciates]

Yeah, it is. But we'll do what we can to get through this. Keep moving forward.
