Week 4.

WEEK 4 Three more Competitors died this past week. Chitoge Kirisaki tried to take matters into her own hands only to be punished as a result while William Flemming and Archie both tried to take the Adjudicator up on his word and escape. Three more of you are gone, but there's no going back now. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, another set of doors has opened up - this time at the end of the western corridor, leading up and toward the north. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it a reward for surviving another week. COMPETITORS REMAINING: 23

[Isaac's been having a rough time of it lately, and it shows. He looks like he's been getting even less sleep than usual, if the dark bags under his eyes are any indication. He also seems lost in his own thoughts more often than not. Perhaps the most telling sign is the fact that he spends most of his day in his room, with the door shut and locked. You're more than welcome to knock though; he'll definitely answer it.

When he's not hiding out in his room, Isaac can either be found in the pool where he's swimming laps or the dojo where he's once again setting up obstacle courses. Either way his mind doesn't seem to be on what he's doing and occasionally he'll just stop to stare at some point in the distance. He's not having a good time.

Late at night he can be found restlessly walking through the rooms, though he doesn't seem to be looking for anything. For a guy who's 6'6" and built to match, Isaac is surprisingly quiet, so don't be surprised if he (unintentionally) sneaks up on you.]

[Fern is a mess of a person and also finds herself moving about at night. Just going to grab a book, work on her notes, stuff like that. She doesn't spot Isaac, flipping through her pages in confusion.]

[glaciates]

[At least you're not the only mess, right?? Right!!

Anyway, Isaac approaches and watches for a moment before speaking up.]

[She jolts back in surprise.]

OH CRIMINY. [Oh its just Isaac BUT STILL] Phew... You startled me.

[glaciates]

Oh, uh, sorry.

[HE DIDN'T MEAN TO whoops gotta look out for that]

[ Terumi is actually holed up in one of the rooms in the corner, doing some more fancy equations on a pile of paper. He'd do them in his room but he's not really the type to sit still (what a surprise).]

Thought you said I was the one who was gonna fall asleep in a random ass spot.

[glaciates]

I'm not going to fall asleep, I'm wide awake.

[Which is part of the problem!! But hi, Terumi.]

...What are you working on?

[ He shrugs, it's still pretty damn late.]

Are you making progress with it?

[Terumi doesn't seem annoyed so... probably??]

[...you know... Isaac hasn't been looking good, has he. It's been a surprisingly rough week despite the good start, so... she's going to at least make an attempt to see if she can check up on people and make sure they're fed or... something.

Oh, hey, Mozu. Did you need something?

Well, I didn't need anything, but I didn't see you around much today so I figured I'd check on you and make sure you've got food.

[she has a delicious plate of rice and veggies with her, by the way.]

That's really kind of you. Thanks. I've been uh... kinda busy working on some notes. I've got a lot of holes in my memory I'm trying to piece together.

[He'll take the plate though! That really is kind but. It could be poisoned...........]

I've got some food stocked in my room though, so you don't need to worry about me!

[seriously he is so concerned about being poisoned]

[ Inigo is up late like the mess he is and is in the dojo working on a dance routine. He seems to be pretty engrossed in it and won't even notice Isaac when he enters the room. ]

A-one and a-two...

[glaciates]

[Huh. Dancing is listed as one of Inigo's likes on his profile, but Isaac's never seen him do it. So clearly the best thing to do here is just to stand near the door and watch!

...I am so sorry, Inigo.]

[ Enjoy the show, Isaac. The dance is fast-paced and he's very graceful and fluid in his movements. He stops the second he notices Isaac, however. ]

...Hey.

[ It's a little awkward, but at least he's not freaking out about like he would have just a few weeks ago. ]

[ Isaac isn't the only one having a rough time of it. Mahiru herself is up late as well, sitting in the dining room with a cup of tea and some classic Japanese novel or another. She only notices Isaac before he startles her because he passes into her field of vision, and when he does- ]

Trouble sleeping?

[He'll sit across from her, then! Might as well, he's not doing anything else right now.]

Yeah. You too?

[ She pauses, then: ]

Since the trial, actually.

[ Since he's sitting with her, she'll close her book and set it aside. ]

There's more tea in the kitchen, if you'd like some.

[ Kyouko's up late herself, unable to sleep and walking towards the library. She spots Isaac on the way, making her way over to him. ]

Unable to sleep?

[glaciates]

Oh, uh, hey Kyouko.

[He's a bit taken aback but he recovers quickly enough.]

Yeah. I've been having problems for awhile now. It's just gotten worse since... well, this past trial and that memory and what happened with AZ...

[fittedgloves]

This hasn't been an easy week so far, has it?

[ She pauses. ] What was your latest memory?

[Less time at the pool today than usual, but Sharpedo needs some exercise...and Brady hasn't shown Muk this place yet either. He doesn't want to interrupt Isaac, but he also doesn't want to scare someone with a shark... But soon enough he stops, and...]

Isaac, hey. You doing okay, man?

[Muk is staring into the water at his own reflection...]

[glaciates]

[Isaac has zero problems with the shark because Jaws doesn't exist in Amestris!! He'll give Muk a bit of a Look before relaxing and moving to the edge of the pool so he can talk to Brady.]

I'm... Yeah, I'm alright. How are you guys holding up?

[These poor Pokémon...]

[Muk waves a small, sloppy arm and burbles softly. What a sweet blob of pollution. Sharpedo, on the other hand, goes right into the water and starts swimming.]

They're...hanging in there, you know. We're still watching for his uh...I think it's called a Crobat? But there's a big hyena walking around here too, so. They have each other.
