Week 5.

WEEK 5 With the deaths of AZ, Brady Russell, McKenzie Mitchell, and Walter White, it's probably starting to feel less crowded around here, isn't it? But there isn't going to be a break from your situation - a new day in here should remind you of that. Two people were murdered in an attempt to escape and one had Juri's help to take his own life. How many more will die this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Checking the rules when you wake up will reveal that there's been a rule change; another reminder of things you've lost, and things you may have yet to lose. Of course, with the start of a new week, another set of doors has opened up - once again, they can be found in the western corridor, jutting downwards toward the south. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; after the weekend's trial, you probably deserve it. COMPETITORS REMAINING: 19

After that announcement? No way.

[ Firing an arrow with a little more force, ooh. ]

True but I never trusted the man even before then.

[Now he wants to shoot something Juri-related.]

There's still a risk that it could happen.

[ She lowers her bow, frowning. ]

I don't want to kill anyone here. But that-- that announcement makes me worried.

It brings up the question of far would one go to protect those they care about. Makes me wonder if he and his commander are getting desperate.

[flagitate]

They're getting desperate, so they make us desperate. Sounds effective.

[onedrinkwithme]

Effective but that shows we're getting closer to solving this entire mystery before us.

[flagitate]

You're a lot more hopeful than I am.

[onedrinkwithme]

I try to be but having hope is one thing. Seeing through to the outcome is another; I suppose it is the outcome of the dreams we recieve. Seeing something come to fruition after a thousand years may do that to someone.

[flagitate]

A thousand years? Seriously?

[onedrinkwithme]

[Nod.]

A grievous sin made by a select few and yet hidden truths to most...until a few decided to speak up. Myself among them.

[flagitate]

... Wow.

[ That sounds really similar. ]

You get stuff done, huh.

Not without loss.

With many believing they were fighting a just cause and dying for it. My first dream here was trying to convince the archbishop to go public with this information...he instead imprisoned me and had me questioned. It was more confusing until they came more and more as if pieces of a puzzle: the peace we sought happened. So that is why I do not give into despair here. Terrified? Aye, and if any man says they are not would be a downright lie.

I suppose my title fits but I have never taken it as an insult.

[flagitate]

[ ... You know, it's funny. They're pretty alike. But Aymeric's way more hopeful than Katniss could ever be; she's not the idealistic type. But damn if she isn't determined. Resolute. ]

I don't think it's much of an insult either. [ Huh. ] Having hope isn't a bad thing. And if anyone tries to say it is, I'll sock them in the face for you. Because you made stuff happen.

And that's pretty great.

But it would be of ill will not to offer mine own if you ever needed it as well.

Never sell yourself short, Katniss. You are more powerful than you realize.

[He hears that a lot. Gets him in trouble sometimes but it's worth everything in the end.]

They see the same potential that I do.

[ Aymeric plz. She's going to turn into a tomato at this rate. ]

... Potential, huh.

[Good, you deserve it.]

Of course. Your actions in this place and within the trials prove it. Not only are you skilled with a bow but also possess quite the intelligence.

[flagitate]

[ ... ahaha. ]

Intelligent? That's a first.

[Oh shit, that's a first?]

Why is that?

I'm not exactly the planning type of person. Or the thinking type of person. Haymitch likes to remind me of that, anyway.

Intelligence does not just come from tomes; anyone can shoot an arrow or swing a sword but it is how ones uses them. It is the ability to gain and apply that knowledge.
