Week 5.

WEEK 5

With the deaths of AZ, Brady Russell, McKenzie Mitchell, and Walter White, it's probably starting to feel less crowded around here, isn't it? But there isn't going to be a break from your situation - a new day in here should remind you of that. Two people were murdered in an attempt to escape and one had Juri's help to take his own life. How many more will die this week?

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Checking the rules when you wake up will reveal that there's been a rule change; another reminder of things you've lost, and things you may have yet to lose.

Of course, with the start of a new week, another set of doors has opened up - once again, they can be found in the western corridor, jutting downwards toward the south. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; after the weekend's trial, you probably deserve it.

Perhaps... sometimes, however, you simply end up developing bad habits.

Probably.

[ He... DOES have some bad habits, admittedly. He likes to sleep in late and take his time getting to places. ]

When that happens though, it's probably a good thing to try to grow out of them. I'm sure you've never let that stopped you anyway.

[ Mahiru smiles at the compliment, though there's something kind of odd about the expression. It's almost strained. ]

I try to avoid developing bad habits in the first place. Every moment I spend trying to overcome them is a moment spent not improving my existing talents.

[ Yuri wonders how much time he spends on improving his talents... probably when he's in the mood or just when he feels like it. ]

You sound like a pretty hard worker. That and usually it's not something I worry about too hard myself. As long as it's not endangering anyone else or something too big. I can see why someone else might, though.

I'm afraid I have to be a hard worker. Slacking off means condemning myself to irrelevancy.

[ Considering their situation ha ha ha...

He'll laugh a bit. ]

Guess it applies to here too. We're going to want to work hard to find out what's going on beyond the scenes too.
middaymoon: (ʟᴇᴛ the bare feet be)

Hmm. And to survive.

[ Mahiru is all about cynicism, apparently. ]

[personal profile] hesperos 2016-08-12 09:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah.

[ But, maybe this doesn't need to be all about cynicism-- even if Yuri's realistic himself and knows everything isn't all sunshine and rainbows. He'll go over to the target again, but after he takes out the knife, he passes Mahiru a smile. ]

Then...here's to us surviving, Mahiru.
middaymoon: (ʜᴇᴀᴅ up high)

[ Despite herself, Mahiru smiles. ]

To survival. We should never hesitate to celebrate our own well-being.

[ He'll still be holding that knife as he walks right over. ]

You've got that right.
