Week 2.
With the deaths of Sayaka Maizono and Mallick Scott the first week draws to a close. While you all have varying opinions on what happened and who was to blame, one thing's for sure: the Adjudicator isn't messing around. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... However, those weird dreams aren't the only new thing around here; those massive double doors on the southern wall of the foyer have opened up, leading down another hallway and ending in what looks like another corridor to the west. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done. Or perhaps for just playing the game. |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week two of Trustfell! Don't forget to save your threads for coins and the activity check, and don't forget to submit this week's activity check and memory regains!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Adjudicator, you can do so here!]

She doesn't trust easily, as anyone here can attest to. Katniss stops dead in the middle of the room, her eyes lingering on the pretty bolts of fabric. Feathers, said Caesar Flickerman in her dream. You're like a bird.
A mockingjay, I think. It's the bird on the pin I wear as a token.
That explains a couple of things.
Anyway. Her hands are shaking as she runs the tips of her fingers along the bolts of fabric. Tears sting at her eyes. She's never seen so much fabric, and quite frankly, it dredges up a lot of feelings Katniss has no idea she had. Because she can still see Cinna, motionless on the ground, and she's sure it's because he made her into a mockingjay. She still has so many questions. But the fact remains that he's dead. Dead because of her.
She doesn't destroy anything in the sewing room, at least. Katniss makes her way to the kitchen next, to grab some food. Today, she's making herself a cup of hot chocolate, and beside her is a plate of cinnamon rolls. She doesn't go to the dining room, because the dining room is still a place she does not want to go to anytime soon, so she stays in the kitchen, breaking off pieces of the roll and dunking them in hot chocolate before eating them.
At least she's not breaking plates again. Yet.
After an eventful day, Katniss doesn't do much else. She wanders around a little aimlessly, and she's pretty damn fidgety. She's still got that bag of food at her hip, with some sweet rolls inside. She's a little more closed off than usual, if her expression is any indication... ]

... Katniss? Are you alright?
[You certainly seem more fidgety than earlier today, should we be concerned?]

It's been a long day.

Is there anything we can do to help? [Do you wanna talk about it, or...]

... I don't know. i don't think so. [ But... ] ... Maybe some pancakes, though.
no subject
Mm, that can easily be arranged. Do you have any particular preferences when it comes to pancake toppings?

He's taken a break from his foyer-watching and sewing to stretch his legs a little himself, absolutely still in the maid's dress -- he'll return it to Aligula in the morning, maybe, once his own clothes are clean.
... Katniss is an okay person, even if she's self-centered and prickly.]
Had a bad day, Kitty?
no subject
I'm fine.
no subject
[Like washing clothes. Why can't you just say that, Ferid.]
no subject
[ She gives him an incredulous look before shrugging. Why does he want her to join him? ]
... Sure.
no subject
They're going to worry anyway, Kitty, that's just how people are. Especially the more... parental types. They all consider people around your age as children, after all, though I think it's wrong for them to. You're as much of an adult as any of them.
[The one that comes closest to that is Mozu, really, but her way of life must've prepared her to be an adult that young too.]
But maybe that's simply the view of someone who's so old himself! Who knows?

You're looking extra pale today. Is the ointment not agreeing with you?
[That's probably code for "what's wrong now" on top of the actual question, but like he's going to outright show any concern.]
no subject
The ointment's fine, [ she replies, dunking a piece of roll probably a little too aggressively. ]
no subject
Oh. Good.
[...
He leans on the counter with his coffee.]
The other day, then.
[They haven't really spoken since then, so.]
no subject
[ Riveting conversation. ]
What about the other day?
[ Look, she's a little distracted for a myriad of reasons, you're going to have to be more specific!! ]
no subject
[BECAUSE NORMAL PEOPLE SHOULDN'T.]

Yeah. It's good.

Wandering around
Eventually, the raven-haired man makes his way into the halls, and he does sort of notice that something is off. ]
Hey, Katniss. Something on your mind?
no subject
[ It's an honest answer, actually. Maybe it's because Yuri doesn't sugarcoat stuff. Maybe it's because he's... kind of her friend? She doesn't know. ]
Weird dreams, that's all.
no subject
[ Although he doesn't think it's just a weird dream. ]
But, I get the feeling it's not just a dream, if that makes sense?
no subject
[ ... But that doesn't make sense. She and Peeta were both alive. Maybe not well, but they were alive. ]
